Sleeping towns

They are no longer our homes

Mere edifices

In which we keep our belongings

And then to have forty winks

We rise before the rest of the city

And retire last

Yet we are paid no more

For spending a sixth of the day

Trying to get to there.

  1. Lol, I am feeling this one sooo much. Asked a question along the lines of this philosophy to a work mate last night.

  2. Do you live in Lagos or is it same in Ghana cities too?

  3. As I rest my aching limbs from a day at work, this is really resonating!

  4. Nana Yaw, I really think they should and give us higher grades too!
Myne, Accra ooo Accra. You should visit and see for yourself. Heard aabout Lagos too.
Nsoromma, I know right. I hope it put a smile on your face at least.;-)
