Colony names
My partenal grandparents were called;
William Percival Brown-Orleans & Berthod Eliza Jones! Yikes.
Hahaha. I just can't stop laughing and I don't know why.
It must be NYA's 'Silly Tuesday!'
And there are more individuals with such names even today... but gradually things are changing as Joseph Houston-Yorke changed his name to Paa Kwasi Ndoum and others
The use of colonial language is wonderfully antiquated and has a certain charm. But of course people are also rushing to the Bible to grab "biblical" names and what could be worse than that!

Nana Fredua, yeah, thats true. I'm not in anyway suggesting that anyone should change their name though. I'm just poking a little fun at the "Toby-ness' of it all. :-)
@Toyin, yeah it just occured to me and I laughed. @Graham, I know right? Some are so strange that they are bound to cause teasing on the playground... Hehehe.
eish Percival paa!? That is so abrofosem! That's one of my college mates last name and she is American to the core! lol... don't even get me started on the "Berthod" ;P

I actually saw a pastor name his kids Mahershallal and sth else. i was flabbergasted.
