Colony names

My partenal grandparents were called;
William Percival Brown-Orleans & Berthod Eliza Jones! Yikes.
Hahaha. I just can't stop laughing and I don't know why.
It must be NYA's 'Silly Tuesday!'

  1. And there are more individuals with such names even today... but gradually things are changing as Joseph Houston-Yorke changed his name to Paa Kwasi Ndoum and others

  2. The use of colonial language is wonderfully antiquated and has a certain charm. But of course people are also rushing to the Bible to grab "biblical" names and what could be worse than that!
