Why is there no manual?
No set of instructions
To this life we lead
This love we share
So many mistakes, saved
So much heartache spared
TVs and Microwaves have ‘em
Even tables and lights fixtures
So why not something as large as life
Or as beautiful as love?
Religious leaders would tell you to read their sacred books (Christians--bible; Muslims--koran; etc)
ReplyDeleteEven with TV's and microwaves.. some of us never read the manuals..
ReplyDeleteWe just jump in head first..
Deal with the consequences later..
Dear Ms Orleans, I wish to send you a formal proposal for a literary project. But I don't have your email-add. If you will, please mail me your e-address to blackenwell@gmail.com Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWell all I can say is, we are not inanimate objects and our emotions will not follow a set list of rules. That is the beauty and ugliness of our life! If there were a set of rules, we would all be so robotic and uninteresting I think :)
ReplyDeleteI kind of agree with Maxine. I, for one, am happy that I came with no manual. Why? You said it yourself: I love, I learn, I pray, I dream, I wish, I cry, I try, I gain, I lose, I am. That's what makes life interesting. And that's all there really is to it!
ReplyDeleteNana Fredua, I hear you. But they do not contain all the info to prevent every mishap, do they?
ReplyDeleteRoc, I like you. You leap before you look! Your life must be an interesting one.:-)
ReplyDeleteDear Anon, my e mail address is kwegyirba@gmail.com. Talk to you soon.
ReplyDeleteMaxine, beautiful and ugly, huh? I'm smiling. I guess you are right. But sometimes don't we all wish it was simpler?
ReplyDeleteNana Yaw, I guess you are right too. Thank God we are manual-less!;-)
ReplyDeletei got a manual, but it came in Finnish. As you can imagine , i haven't read it yet
ReplyDeleteRoach, learn Finnish! Lemme know what it says. Hehehe.
ReplyDeleteKAO, thanks for the comments on my Haiku, I really do appreciate them.
ReplyDeleteKAO, I have done some explanations of the terms on my Haiku blog under that 'Shamrock Haiku Journal' where you posted your comment. Hope it works
