Learning on the job

Why is there no manual?

No set of instructions

To this life we lead

This love we share

So many mistakes, saved

So much heartache spared

TVs and Microwaves have ‘em

Even tables and lights fixtures

So why not something as large as life

Or as beautiful as love?

  1. Religious leaders would tell you to read their sacred books (Christians--bible; Muslims--koran; etc)

  2. Even with TV's and microwaves.. some of us never read the manuals..
We just jump in head first..
    Deal with the consequences later..

  3. Dear Ms Orleans, I wish to send you a formal proposal for a literary project. But I don't have your email-add. If you will, please mail me your e-address to blackenwell@gmail.com Thank you.

  4. Well all I can say is, we are not inanimate objects and our emotions will not follow a set list of rules. That is the beauty and ugliness of our life! If there were a set of rules, we would all be so robotic and uninteresting I think :)

  5. I kind of agree with Maxine. I, for one, am happy that I came with no manual. Why? You said it yourself: I love, I learn, I pray, I dream, I wish, I cry, I try, I gain, I lose, I am. That's what makes life interesting. And that's all there really is to it!

  6. Nana Fredua, I hear you. But they do not contain all the info to prevent every mishap, do they?

  9. Maxine, beautiful and ugly, huh? I'm smiling. I guess you are right. But sometimes don't we all wish it was simpler?
